Peggy's Philosophy

I grew up in a tiny farm town in eastern Nebraska, surrounded by corn fields.  It was a place where the entire town shut down at 6:00 in time for dinner and your family name came with a reputation to protect. My father was a volunteer fire fighter, helped sand-bag the river when the water rose, and was a member of the Junior Citizens Committee.  Kids roamed freely and the whole town watched out for us. Growing up in
Gretna, everyone knew everyone in my family. My great grandpa Eichner hosted barn dances, my grandmother lived right around the corner, and my classmates' families owned most of the town's main street businesses.  It's a beautiful thing to know the real meaning of the word community.  In this type of environment, character and service mean everything.

Gretna has grown a lot since then and when I go "home" now, I really do miss that small town feel.  However, I am still a small town person at heart.  I never acquired the taste for a large corporate environment.  I would rather know my customers, their employees and families as individuals.  While a lot of insurance agencies target large corporate clients, I still prefer personal service based on years of interaction with my clients.  It's business on a human scale.  And in the Gretna tradition, I have always made sure that my employees could make it home by 6:00 for dinner.

I believe that the most important factor in delivering effective, high quality service is the ability to
think and care at the same time.  One can't teach a person to think and no one can be forced to care, but when a person does both simultaneously, it results in smart, compassionate solutions to the challenges we face in our business.  This is my defining service pledge.  I want you to feel like a valuable customer every time you contact Leppek Benefits.  I care about our clients and will do my best to solve their problems whenever it is within the scope of my ability.  After all, I would want my grandfather to be proud of how I took that small, farm town philosophy to Denver and really made it work in the big city.

Caring and Giving Back

I believe that we have a responsibility to serve the needs of the greater community as well as our clients.  We are extremely fortunate to live in this great country where we can live in freedom and prosperity.  I want to help make our world a better place to live and work while paying particular attention to those who are the most vulnerable among us, the children.  Leppek Benefits sponsored a child in Africa for 13 years and we regularly contribute to various other charities. Some of the organizations we have supported most recently include:
